It is a popular stopover for visitors travelling between Kampala and the gorilla-trekking sites in western Uganda.\u00a0<\/span><\/p><p class=\"p3\"><span class=\"s1\">Key tourist attractions<\/span><\/p><ul class=\"ul1\"><li class=\"li4\"><span class=\"s3\">Diverse wildlife:\u00a0The park is the only place in Uganda to see impala and is an accessible location for Burchell&#8217;s zebra. Other animals include\u00a0buffalo,\u00a0eland,\u00a0topi,\u00a0Defassa waterbuck,\u00a0leopard, and\u00a0hyena.<\/span><\/li><li class=\"li4\"><span class=\"s3\">Unique activities:\u00a0Unlike most Ugandan national parks, visitors can participate in guided walking safaris and horseback safaris, which provide closer, less obtrusive wildlife encounters.<\/span><\/li><li class=\"li4\"><span class=\"s3\">Birding:\u00a0With over 350 bird species recorded, the park is a prime destination for birdwatchers.
